One address reaches DownTo1 Watches: info@downto1.com. There is no contact form and no mailing list — email is the whole of it, and it is read by the people who write the site rather than by a support queue.

A factual error

Corrections are the most useful mail we get. A weight, stack height, heel drop, plate or support type that does not match the manufacturer's published figure; a price that is nowhere near reality; a watch described as something it is not. Please name the watch and say what the right figure is — a link to the manufacturer's spec page makes it a two-minute fix instead of an afternoon of checking. Prices in particular are indicative and move with discounts and regions, so a difference at a retailer is expected; a launch price that is plainly wrong is not.

A watch that should be covered

The catalogue is curated rather than exhaustive, and running watches are on an annual model cycle, so gaps appear. If a watch you rate is missing — especially one that fills a category thinly covered, or a new model that supersedes one already listed — tell us which it is and, briefly, who it is for. Suggestions are judged on whether they make the ranking more useful. Placement cannot be bought: brands and PR agencies are welcome to send information, but no arrangement moves a watch up the list.

A data-protection request

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection — write to the same address and say which right you are exercising. Worth knowing before you do: the site keeps no accounts and stores your answers only in your own browser, and its analytics are cookieless and aggregate, so in most cases there is simply no personal data held about you to act on. We will tell you plainly if that is the case. The privacy policy sets out the controller's identity, the legal bases, and the supervisory authority you can complain to; formal GDPR requests are best sent after reading it, because it usually answers the question first.

A business enquiry

Retailer and affiliate partnerships, licensing the catalogue or the finder, press questions and anything else commercial: same address, with "business" somewhere in the subject line so it is easy to spot. What is not available at any price is editorial influence — paid placement, sponsored rankings and review-for-product arrangements are all declined, and saying so up front saves everyone a round of email.

What to expect back

This is a small independent site, not a company with a support desk. Most mail gets a reply within a few working days; a correction with a source attached is usually applied faster than it is answered, so you may see the fix on the site before you hear from us. Holiday periods stretch that. If a fortnight passes with no reply, do send it again — it was lost, not ignored.

Not sure this is the right place to write? The about page explains what the site does, where its figures come from and how it is funded.
